Successful Detoxing


Detoxing involves cleansing the colon, resting the digestive system, improving the circulation, assisting the liver and colon through herbs and supplements and avoiding new toxins.


Below are six tips to help you renew your quest for good health:


  1. Fasting on raw fruit and vegetable juices for a few days is always a good way to start the detoxing process. Vegetable juices tend to be alkaline so are useful in balancing the acid forming foods, such as sugar, red meats, cheese and wheat. (too many acid forming foods can lead to arthritis and constipation.)

  2. Experience a course of colonics. Why?.. Cleansing the colon is the most vital part of any detoxification programme. The colon is approximately 5 feet in length, so to ensure all the colon is cleansed 3 treatments are generally recommended. Having a colonic irrigation: a) helps remove toxic waste and gas from the colon; b) stimulates the gall-bladder to release bile, (one of the major routes of detoxification for the liver); c) Improves the muscle tone of the colon, freeing it from old impacted waste material; d) Increases energy and well being.

  3. Dry skin brushing and massage also help to detoxify the lymph system, by increasing the flow of lymph back to the heart and on to the kidneys for filtration and elimination of toxins.

    Skin brushing also increases cell renewal and excretion of metabolic wastes through your skin’s pores.

  4. Detoxifying the liver by means of a coffee enema can be stimulating and invigorating. During a coffee enema, the flow of bile, which is an important outlet for toxins, is increased, leading to greater elimination. Enemas are tailored to personal needs, as individuals vary in their ability to detoxify and are administered following a course of colonics.

    The Liver Cleanse or Gall Bladder flush is the only treatment that can release any gall stones or cholesterol stones you may have! This is a superb way of overcoming life’s excesses.

  5. Avoid new toxins by eating right for your blood group.

    Read the book "Live Right 4 Your Type" by Dr Peter D'Adamo, which contains food lists for each blood type. If you are not sure of your blood group, then purchase a simple to use Blood Test Kit, available from Healthy Detox.

    Include more fresh and green vegetables, fruit, and fish in your diet.

    Shop correctly – only buy foods that are on your blood type list. That way you have a better chance of achieving your health and weight goals.
